I recently visited the city of San Diego for the first time with my family and believe it to be the best city in the United States, hands down.

While we went there for a 'nature and animal vacation' trip, everything about San Diego, starting with the climate, is incredible.

The climate is basically dry desert on the ocean, which makes for clear blue skies, blue water and a crisp, invigorating energy in the air. Year round climate is steady compared to most parts of the United States, with 60-80 being the norm year round.

We went primarily to go to the San Diego Zoo near downtown San Diego and Balboa Park, Sea World over on Mission Bay in central San Diego, and the Wildlife Animal Park in north county San Diego. All 3 were incredible and world class while providing three different environments as well.

I highly recommend San Diego as a destination for your next family vacation. Lots of good restaurants, of course, good seafood, and also some great mexican dining stops.
